LAX

SCROLL DOWN

LAX

Los Angeles International Airport (LAX) is approximately 2 hours from Santa Barbara. The upside of LAX is the availability of flights to the area. The downside is that LAX is a busy airport and places you a bit further from santa barbara.

Renting a car: All major rental car companies operate out of LAX.

Take a shuttle bus: Santa Barbara AIRBUS is a well reviewed and reasonably priced shuttle service that runs 15 trips a day from LAX to Central Santa Barbara. Click the link below for more info.

Burbank

Burbank Airport (Bob Hope Airport) is approximately 1.5 hours to Santa Barbara. The upside of Burbank is the simplicity. Burbank is a small but mainstream airport. The airport will place you close to both Brianne and Brian's home base and is a hair closer to Santa Barbara than LAX. the downside is, unless you're traveling to and from major cities, you'll probably have to switch flights as you travel across the country.

Renting a car: All major rental car companies operate out of Burbank Airport.

The Train is an option: the amtrak surfliner stops at the burbank airport and does run a few trains a day from burbank to santa barbara. if your flight lines up time-wise with a train, you may consider THIS mode of transportation.

Santa Barbara

Santa Barbara

Santa Barbara Airport is a tiny airport that really only services west coast cities such as San Francisco, Seattle, Portland etc. However, Alaska, American and United Airlines all run flights into and out of Santa Barbara. The upside is, you'll land within miles of the wedding venue and hotel. The downside is, flights will certainly be limited and most likely on commuter jets.
